The coastal village of Portloe and dog-friendly beaches are just a short drive away, while the city of Truro is also easily accessible from Gare Barn.

Tregothnan Estate is known for being one of the largest private estates in Cornwall, with the only tea plantation in Britain. Guests can enjoy a cup of Tregothnan tea during their stay at Gare Barn. The property features two enclosed lawn gardens, perfect for outdoor activities and for pets to roam freely. Barbecue, garden furniture, and a rotary dryer are provided for guests' convenience.

Parking is available for up to three cars in front of the barn, and the property can accommodate a maximum of six guests plus one infant. Gare Barn is pet-friendly, welcoming up to three dogs of any size. The property offers a loyalty discount, and the changeover day is flexible out of season.
