The Camel Trail follows the contours of the estuary and leads to the market town of Wadebridge - about 5 miles - and thereafter to Bodmin. It is located just below Porthilly View - ideal if you want to bring your bikes but, if not, bike hire is available close by. Just down the coast are several superb sandy beaches and the beautiful coastal path with its spectacular rugged coastline can be reached by walking through the town. At the top of the town will be found the historic and interesting Elizabethan manor house of Prideaux Place, home of the Prideaux-Brune family, which is open to visitors during the season.
