Rostowan is situated on the Roseland Peninsula on Cornwall's south coast, which enjoys spectacular sea and rivers walks and views, woodlands and fields, winding lanes, ancient buildings and churches, much of it under the careful ownership of the National Trust.
At the very narrowest point of the peninsula, where Porth Creek and the sea almost cut it in half, Rostowan Villa nestles in a peaceful location with the creek just a stones throw away on one side, and the sea within ear shot on the other. Towan beach itself is just a short stroll down the lane and even in the height of summer is usually very quiet. This Beach is Dog friendly all year round.
The stunning harbour village of Portscatho is within walking distance, which is perfect for enjoying a bite to eat and a drink, or trying your hand at catching crabs off of the harbour wall.
St. Mawes is a larger town and can be accessed by car, or by walking around the creek to Place Manor where it is possible to catch the foot passenger ferry. From St. Mawes it is possible to catch a number of different ferries to places such as Falmouth and Truro (the capital of Cornwall).
