Originally built over 200 years ago as a sail loft and later used as an artist's studio, the cottage is full of unique natural light that has attracted artists to St Ives for generations. Thoughtfully modernized while retaining its original character, the cottage features deep whitewashed granite walls and exposed timbers.
The ground floor of Norway House Studio includes a king-size bedroom with a flat-screen TV, bunk beds, and a single bed in the second bedroom, as well as a well-equipped bathroom. The cottage is carpeted throughout, except in the kitchen and bathroom. An exterior cubby next to the front door provides storage space for beach gear. The first floor boasts a spacious and light-filled sitting/dining room with windows on three sides, skylights, settees, armchairs, and a large oak dining table.
The sitting/dining room opens to a well-designed and refitted kitchen with modern amenities such as an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. The cottage is heated throughout by wall-mounted electric radiators. Small well-trained dogs are accepted by arrangement. Situated just minutes from the Harbour, Porthmeor, and Porthgwidden beaches, Norway House Studio is ideal for a relaxing summer holiday or a cozy winter break. The Island car park is conveniently located nearby, making it easy to explore the beautiful coastal region of St Ives.
