Located in Looe, Cornwall, this charming country cottage sleeps up to 5 guests and is pet-friendly. Set in an idyllic spot with stunning countryside views, guests can walk to the bustling fishing town of Looe in about an hour through the tidal river valley. The picturesque village of Polperro is just a 10-minute drive away, offering a variety of restaurants, shops, and local crafts. Nearby beaches such as Talland and Lansallos are perfect for exploring, while Bodinnick, where Daphne du Maurier lived and wrote her first novels, is a short drive away.
Within a 15-minute drive, guests can visit the village of Lerryn, known for its picturesque river and woodland walks that inspired the Wind in the Willows books. The famous Eden Project is also within a 30-minute drive, along with Lanhydrock House, a beautiful National Trust property with extensive gardens and walks. The nearby village of Pelynt offers shops, a pub serving good food and real ales, and a social club with a sports bar welcoming visitors.
The cottage features a dining room with an exposed slate floor, a lounge with a TV and DVD player, and a kitchen equipped with essential amenities. The first floor includes two bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath and new shower. Bedroom 1 has recently been renovated with higher ceilings and a new king bed, while Bedroom 2 offers two twin beds that can be converted into a super king bed and a separate single bed. Outside, there is a small front lawned garden with table and chairs, as well as a lawned garden at the back with stunning countryside valley views.
For larger families or groups, an adjoining cottage is available for booking. Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights are now offered from Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday, in addition to week-long bookings from Friday to Friday. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities in the area, including kayaking, motor boating, and fishing, making it a perfect destination for a relaxing and adventurous getaway.
