The cottage is part of the south wing of a beautifully converted courtyard of ancient farm buildings known as Higher Penhole Farm Cottages, believed to have once been part of the Lanhydrock Estate. The cottage offers a private and peaceful retreat, surrounded by beautiful gardens with a covered patio area perfect for relaxing or dining al fresco.

The cottage features quality furnishings, including a leather suite in the lounge, a king size bed in the main bedroom that can be split into two single beds, and a double bed in the second bedroom. The contemporary tiled bathroom includes a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Heating is provided by electric radiators and a log and coal burner in the lounge, ensuring a cosy stay even in the winter months.

Guests can enjoy modern amenities such as a well-equipped kitchen, flat screen TVs, DVD players, a music centre, and a selection of DVDs, CDs, books, and games for entertainment. Wagtail Cottage is conveniently located just nine miles from the fishing villages of Polperro and Looe, with access to beaches, shops, pubs, and restaurants. The village of Lostwithiel, Restormel Castle, Bodmin Moor, Charlestown Harbour, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Carnglaze Caverns are all within a short drive.
