This idyllic retreat spans 65 acres of lush greenery, farmland, and woodland trails, providing guests with ample opportunities to engage in outdoor activities such as tennis and croquet, or simply relax on the sun-soaked deck. The cottage, dating back to the early 1800s, retains its original features, including a characterful waterwheel, creating a fairytale-like ambiance upon arrival.

Upon entering The Watermill, guests are greeted by a well-equipped kitchen that showcases exposed beams, stout stone walls, and deep inset windows. The kitchen includes modern amenities such as a double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and a Nespresso coffee machine, along with essential cooking supplies like oil, salt, pepper, and herbs. The dining area is inviting, perfect for family meals, and features underfloor heating for comfort during off-season visits.

The ground floor accommodates a tranquil bedroom with calming views of the garden, furnished with a super king bed that can be arranged as twin singles upon request. Additionally, there is a family bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower, bath, and underfloor heating. Moving to the first floor, guests will find a cozy sitting room highlighted by an original stone fireplace and a wood-burning stove, ideal for creating a warm atmosphere in winter. The sitting room also features French doors that open to a spacious deck, allowing for plenty of natural light and easy access to outdoor living.

The first floor also houses a country-style master bedroom tucked beneath the eaves, offering a restful super king-size bed. Outside, The Watermill provides an abundance of space for relaxation and recreation, including a tennis court, croquet lawn, woodland trails, and a picturesque pond with a bridge. Guests can enjoy picnics by the riverside, complete with a firepit for evening gatherings, and a raised sun deck at the rear of the property that is perfect for alfresco dining during warm summer evenings.
