September Cottage is a charming traditional Cornish cottage located in the heart of Helford, just by the creek in Cornwall, South West England. The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms and features a minimalist interior design with neutral greys and chalky whites, maximizing natural light. The open plan living space includes an L-shaped sofa in front of a Smart TV with Netflix and a cozy wood burner. The fully equipped kitchen has stone worktops and concealed appliances, with a dining table for four.
Ascending the wooden painted stairs, guests will find a bathroom with a bath and rainforest shower, heated towel-rail, and underfloor heating. The cottage includes a small double room with ample storage and a larger twin room with views of the upper creek and valley. Bed linen and towels are provided, with feather and down pillows and duvets. Electricity is included, and there is plenty of hot water for 4 showers a day. Kindling and logs are provided during winter months. Parking is available in the road around the creek or in a nearby pay and display car park.
The cottage is situated in an Area of Outstanding Beauty and is on the SW Coastal path, offering access to beautiful secluded coves and spectacular beaches like Kynance Cove, Poldhu, and Gunwalloe. Nearby attractions include Poldark Mine, Carwinion House and Garden, The Old Cider Barn Arts and Crafts Centre, and Trevaskis Farm. Guests can enjoy water adventures such as kayaking and scuba diving, as well as outdoor activities like mountain biking and hiking. Short breaks are available between October and April, with a minimum 7-day booking during school holidays. Normal changeover days are Friday or Saturday, with alternative dates accommodated if possible.
