Carnweather

Port Isaac, Cornwall

4

Nothing will come between you and the panoramic sea views that surround this ground floor apartment of Doyden House, which is also home to Rumps, Conor and Mouls holiday cottages. Its former owner, the prison governor, Captain Herbert Latimer Conor, built the coastal retreat as his retirement home after spotting this location from out at sea.

The early 20th-century building has a shared grass area where you can soak up the sun and gaze upon views of Lundy Bay and Pentire Head in the distance. And when Atlantic storms lash the coast, watch from the comfort of the living room window as the fire crackles.

Carnweather is ideally located on the South West Coastal Path, where you can walk to Port Quin Bay in just a few minutes. Another one of the many walks from the doorstep is the challenging but stunning coastal path which brings you to the quaint fishing village of Port Isaac. If you’re after a sandy beach, head to surfing hotspot, Polzeath, which is a 10 minute drive.

The apartment has a shared garden with other Doyden House guests.
