The nearby village of Rock is a popular holiday destination known for its excellent windsurfing and sailing conditions, as well as a long sandy beach at low tide. The harbour town of Padstow, famous for its food scene with restaurants run by renowned chefs like Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth, is just across the estuary. Visitors can also explore the characteristically Cornish fishing village of Port Isaac, made famous by the TV show Doc Martin, or enjoy a day out on the traffic-free Camel Trail which follows the estuary from Wadebridge to Padstow. The property is approximately 3 miles from the surfing beach of Polzeath and is within easy reach of the Cornish coastal path. Rock also offers a well-established sailing and water skiing school for those interested in water sports.
