Gwendra Wartha, along with Mowhay, Dairy Cottage, Granary, Hayloft, is in and around the farming hamlet of Gwendra. The cottage is part of the original farmhouse and located above the main settlement, hence its name. Wartha is Cornish for higher.
Step outside the cottage door and you’re greeted by sweeping views of the surrounding countryside and out to sea. And they can be enjoyed from inside too, every room has uninterrupted coastal vistas – except the bathroom. Walk a few minutes’ down to the sandy beaches Carne and Pendower, which are great for paddling.
You’ll have the whole of the Roseland peninsula at your feet, with its wealth of wildlife, secluded bays and interweaving creeks. Head to nearby Trelisick gardens on board the King Harry Ferry. Your stay at Gwendra Wartha helps us look after Trelissick as well as many other special places in our care.
