Situated on the side of Bradford Dale, Overdale Cottage is conveniently located near the village's pubs and shops, offering easy access to amenities. The village boasts three dog-friendly pubs serving good food and a variety of beers and wines, as well as a village shop, tea rooms, post office, and bakery. Guests can enjoy numerous walks in the surrounding area, including Bradford Dale, Middleton Dale, Lathkill Dale National Nature Reserve, and more, making it an ideal base for exploring the Peak District.

The cottage is well-equipped with modern amenities, including free wifi, and pets are welcome by prior arrangement (maximum 2 dogs). Short breaks are available as three-night weekend breaks or four-night midweek breaks, with arrival from 3pm and departure at 10am. The location of the cottage in Bakewell offers easy access to Peak District National Park, Deep Dale Nature Reserve, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, and Matlock, providing plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
