Big Blue is a unique accommodation located in Bodmin, Cornwall, in the South West of England. This converted 7.5 tonne horse lorry offers a modern and memorable place to stay, with a stunning valley view from its own young Orchard location. The accommodation features an open fire, as well as a private wood burning hot tub and shower trailer named Bertha. Big Blue also has an ensuite toilet for added convenience, eliminating the need to go outside in the middle of the night.
Guests can enjoy the comforts of home while being surrounded by the outdoors in Big Blue. The accommodation includes a clear dome over the bed, providing an unobstructed view of the sky. The bed is located in the luton area above the main living space of the lorry, accessed by a narrow ladder. Big Blue is equipped with electricity, allowing guests to use the mini kitchen or enjoy the fire pit and BBQ outside.
Big Blue is situated in a private Orchard area overlooking a field and a beautiful valley view. While the car park is shared, the site is monitored by a Green Man container artwork. Guests should be aware that there are steps and uneven ground throughout the site. The bed is located about 6 feet in the air, accessible by a ladder with a guard to prevent rolling out. The location is close to attractions such as the Camel Cycle Trail, South West Coast Path Section 14 Trailhead, Cornish Coast Day Adventures, and Camel Creek Adventure Park, offering plenty of activities for visitors to enjoy.
