Ty Mam Mawr is a unique eco property located in Cynwyd forest in the Berwyn mountains of North Wales. It consists of two yurts, Ty Crwn Bach Idris and Ty Crwn Mawr, which can accommodate up to 11 guests. The yurts are beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, wood burning stoves, and stunning views. Guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Dee Valley AONB and Snowdonia National Park, with no light pollution to obstruct the breathtaking skies and views.
Ty Crwn Bach Idris can sleep up to four guests and features a double bed, double sofa bed, and a covered deck with a BBQ and fire pit. The yurt is insulated and equipped with standard electrical sockets and low energy lighting. Ty Crwn Mawr can accommodate up to six guests and includes a king size bed, four single futon beds, and an outdoor cooking area with a fire pit/BBQ. Both yurts share a log cabin kitchen/diner/shower/toilet and a smaller cabin with a compost loo/shower/kitchen.
Guests are encouraged to embrace eco living by using reclaimed/recycled materials and renewable energy sources throughout the property. In the event of freezing temperatures, alternative water arrangements will be made to ensure functionality. Access to the property may be limited during heavy snowfall, adding to the adventure of the experience. The hosts are available to assist with any needs and are happy to provide recommendations for activities and local attractions.
The yurts are set apart from the main house to provide privacy, but guests are welcome to interact with the hosts and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Musical instruments are available for guests to use, and the land offers space for relaxation and exploration. The property is located in Corwen, a rural area on a river, with easy access to Eryri National Park and Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Activities such as game walks and birdwatching are available nearby, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
