Romany Wagon And Cwtch

Aberporth, Ceredigion

2

Situated in Aberporth, Ceredigion, Wales, the Romany Wagon & Cwtch offers a unique glamping experience for two, nestled in a tranquil rural setting just minutes from the stunning Cardigan Bay beaches. This original Romany Wagon combines rustic charm with modern comforts, featuring a cozy cabin that includes a lounge, kitchen-diner, and a shower room, complemented by a 'treetop' veranda for relaxation. Guests can immerse themselves in nature, with a private acre of wild meadow, woods, and a riverside campfire area, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The site is recognized as a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its resident otters, making it an ideal retreat for nature lovers, honeymooners, and those seeking a holistic escape. Visitors can enjoy the serene ambiance by the river while cooking on the BBQ and watching the campfire dance. The location offers plenty of opportunities for exploration, with nearby attractions including the sandy beaches of Llangrannog, Penbryn, and Tresaith, as well as dolphin spotting boat trips from New Quay Harbour and the historic town of Cardigan, which boasts amenities such as supermarkets, restaurants, and a restored castle.

The accommodation itself features a comfortable double bed within the wagon, heated from beneath for added coziness. A dog bed can be provided upon request, ensuring that guests can bring their furry friends along. The cabin, located a short distance from the wagon, includes a bathroom with a shower, a living room with a log burner and double doors opening to the veranda, and a well-equipped kitchen with an electric induction hob and dining area for two. Notably, there is no television, enhancing the escape from everyday life.

Outside, guests enjoy exclusive access to their own private acre of land, bordered by a river, stream, and hedgerows, with various seating options available by the river and a sheltered Fire Den for inclement weather. While exploring the natural beauty of the area, it's important to note that the site is not entirely fenced, and visitors should be aware of the neighboring dairy cows. Additionally, the accommodation requires guests to be able-bodied and steady-footed due to the steps between the wagon and cabin, as well as the wild paths throughout the meadow, making it a unique and adventurous getaway.
