The cottage offers ample space for family or friends, with two double bedrooms and a master bathroom upstairs, as well as a downstairs toilet. The sitting room is charming with a log burner, while the spacious kitchen and separate dining room are newly fitted and fully equipped. Bewick Cottage is part of a pair of cottages, along with Whooper Cottage, sharing large gardens and grounds but with separate entrances, ideal for larger groups of up to 8 people.
Surrounded by lush countryside, the cottages are close to the Ouse washes and WWT Welney, a bird watcher's paradise with various species of birds present year-round. In winter, migratory swans from Siberia and Iceland can be seen, while summer brings other bird species and wildlife like hares and otters. Nearby historic towns like Ely offer markets, river walks, and boat trips, with Ely Cathedral standing tall on a hill in the fens. The coast is just an hour's drive away, with Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds also easily accessible.
Guests have exclusive use of the entire cottage and private, secure parking is provided. The cottages are professionally managed, ensuring that assistance is available if needed. Please note that groups of male friends or stag parties are not allowed, and groups of friends under 30 should contact the hosts for more information. Well-behaved, house-trained dogs may be accepted with prior approval and additional charges.
