Originally owned by the Younger family in the 1800s, the house was lived in by the factor of the Benmore Estate and boasts a rich botanical history with vast collections of seedlings from around the world. The garden spans ten acres and features rare species such as Douglas Firs, Giant Conifers, Rhododendron, Magnolia, and Azaleas.
The house has been recently renovated to a very high standard while maintaining its traditional character, including underfloor heating, wood burning stoves, and marble and wooden fireplaces. The spacious living room has a dining area for 10 people, a 50" smart TV, and a Bluetooth music system. The kitchen is equipped with a Belfast sink, electric range cooker, and a large table ideal for family gatherings. The master bedroom has a luxurious super king-sized bed and a jack and jill ensuite with a luxury shower.
With over 4 hectares of grounds to explore, the gardens at Eckford House feature a rare collection of plants, waterfall features, and trails. Guests can relax in the jacuzzi-style hot tub with multicolor LED lighting and a Bluetooth music system in a cozy log cabin.
