Located in Dunbeg, near Oban, Argyll, this unique accommodation is a wonderful tall ship that comfortably sleeps six guests. The ship features a spacious saloon and an outer deck for relaxation. The ground floor includes a living room, kitchen/dining room, three bedrooms, a shower room, and separate toilet. The bedrooms are warm and comfortable, with the double bedroom having an en-suite shower room and two opening portholes.
St Hilda, the ex-tall ship, was built in 1973 at St Monans, Fife, by Millers boatyard and designed by G.L Watson. Originally built for sail training with a crew of twenty, it was converted for cruising with six guests by 2007. The vessel has a rich Scottish lineage and has competed in several tall ship races. The deck saloon is well-lit and spacious, providing a perfect gathering spot for dining and socializing after a day of adventure. The outdoor decks offer ample space for relaxation and can accommodate personal equipment like kayaks and surfboards.
St Hilda is moored at the harbourside in the water, providing a unique and memorable accommodation experience. The property is self-catering, with no crew onboard, and the vessel does not set sail. Nearby attractions include Ganavan Sands, Loch Linnhe, Ardchattan Priory Garden, and Wings Over Mull. Guests can enjoy water adventures like fishing or outdoor activities such as horse riding. St Hilda can be booked together with Seahorse II and Gemini Explorer to accommodate larger groups of up to 25 guests. A security deposit of £100 is required, which will be refunded after the stay, pending any damage claims.
