Located in the village of Oban, Argyll in Scotland, this charming single-storey cottage sleeps 4 people in 1 bedroom. The building, which is over 170 years old, was originally used as a weighbridge for the gunpowder railway hoppers that passed by on their way to the Pier. Weighbridge is situated in its own enclosed garden at the south-western end of the village, offering stunning views over a paddock and down to the River Oude.
Upon entering the cottage, guests are greeted by a long hallway with coat hanging space, leading to the well-appointed double bedroom, large open-plan kitchen/dining area with modern amenities, a small bathroom with bath and over-bath shower, and a spacious sitting room with large patio windows that provide beautiful views of the paddock and hills beyond. The sitting room is equipped with an open fire, two single sofa beds for additional guests, a CTV, and a DVD player.
Car parking is available in the large gravelled area at the gable end of the building or outside the front door for convenience. The cottage is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area, with attractions such as Oban Ferry Terminal and Glencruitten Golf Club nearby. Nature enthusiasts can also visit Moine Mhor Nature Reserve and Arduaine Garden to experience the area's natural beauty. Weighbridge offers a cozy and comfortable retreat in the heart of Oban, perfect for a relaxing getaway in Scotland.
