This very well appointed 4-star cottage is tastefully decorated and has everything you need for a great holiday. The views from the sun lounge are truly magnificent. It is located on the shore of Holy Loch where it meets Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde. You can see as far as the Isle of Cumbrae. Watch yachts, ferries and boats all day long if you are looking to relax. Seals and porpoise can be seen from the sun lounge if you are lucky! Eider ducks, goldeneye, oystercatchers, razorbills, gannets, curlew and redshanks are just a selection of the birdlife that you can spot on the lochs.
In addition to the village shop you can stock up at the supermarkets and speciality shops in Dunoon. Sample Scottish cuisine at a number of excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes. If you fancy a round of golf there are two courses nearby. The Argyll Forest Park has events all year round and the Benmore Gardens contain an excellent variety of specimen trees and plans - and a great cafe too. Kilmun arboretum is just along the road and there are magnificent walks to the nearby Puck's Glen.
The cottage is a great base for touring as well. Great days out can be found at Inveraray Castle, Inver Cottage at Castle Lachlan, Tignabruiach and maybe even some island hopping to Bute or Tarbet.
Self-catering cottage holidays in the UK and Ireland can still be a green option. You can have the comforts of home and the flexibility to do what you want; when you want - without the hassles of air travel!
