Kilmartin is home to historical sites such as Carnasserie Castle, Nether Largie standing stones, Temple Wood Stone Circle, and ancient burial mounds. The medieval hill-fort of Dunadd, considered the capital of the ancient Gaelic Kingdom of Dalriada, features ancient stone carvings and a stone footprint believed to be part of a medieval coronation ritual. Nearby Lochgilphead offers a variety of amenities, including shops, cafes, restaurants, a hospital, swimming pool, golf course, and sports center.

The cottage itself has been recently decorated to a high standard and features two bedrooms, a fitted kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room with an enclosed wood-burning fire, and a bathroom with a claw foot bath. Free Wi-Fi and internet connection are available, and outside, there is a small alpine garden with table and chairs. The property also includes a bike store and is ideal for a relaxing holiday, offering opportunities for walking, cycling, hill climbing, bird watching, and fishing.

The cottage is easily accessible from Glasgow via Loch Lomond and Oban to the north. One well-behaved dog is allowed in the living areas with prior arrangement. Prices are based on a weekly basis, with flexibility for weekend and midweek rentals outside of peak periods. Entry is typically after 4pm, and departure is by 10am. The owner does not accept bookings that overlap weekends into the following week. Nearby attractions include Dunadd, Arichonan Clearance Village, Moine Mhor Nature Reserve, and Loch Fyne.
